This privacy policy applies to the AI Scan+ app (the "Application") for mobile devices that was created by AI Scan+ Developer (the "Service Provider") as a Free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

The Application may collect information when you download and use it, including your device's Internet Protocol address, pages or screens visited, the time and date of use, the time spent in the Application, and the operating system on your mobile device.

The Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device.

Object scans use photos that you choose from the camera or photo library to generate identification results. When you tap Identify, the selected image is sent to the AI Scan object recognition service hosted at aiscan-api-production.up.railway.app. The purpose is only to provide object identification, confidence, facts, and related follow-up prompts.

The Application uses Branch and Facebook SDKs for app attribution, deep link handling, install measurement, and marketing campaign performance measurement. The Application requests App Tracking Transparency permission before attribution tracking is initialized. If you allow tracking, attribution data may include device identifiers such as IDFA, IDFV, app install/open events, campaign or deep-link parameters, device and app information, IP address, and ATT authorization status. If you do not allow tracking, IDFA is not available to the Application.

Branch Metrics acts as the primary attribution service provider. Facebook/Meta acts as a secondary attribution and event measurement service provider. These service providers process attribution data on behalf of the Service Provider for attribution, measurement, fraud prevention, and campaign performance purposes.

AI Chat is optional and is blocked by a consent screen before the first AI Chat network request. Before consent, the Application does not call /api/chat/create or /api/chat/request.

If you consent and use AI Chat, the Application sends message text, chat_id, and the fixed system_prompt about AI Scan+ object-identification assistance and app help to OpenRouter Chat proxy, a third-party AI chat service hosted on Railway at freeopenrouterchat-production.up.railway.app. The purpose is only to generate AI Scan+ object-identification follow-up answers, scan guidance, safety basics, care tips, and app-help chat responses.

OpenRouter Chat proxy acts as a third-party processor/service provider for the Service Provider. The Service Provider requires processors/service providers to use the shared AI Chat data only for the requested AI Chat service and to provide the same or equivalent privacy protection for that data.

The backend may use server-side chat_id continuity to keep the current AI Chat session coherent if it stores conversation history for the active session. The Application stores your consent preference on device. You can revoke AI chat data sharing in Settings. Revocation resets the local chat session, clears the app's current chat_id, and blocks further AI Chat requests until you consent again.

The Service Provider may share information with trusted service providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information disclosed to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement. Object scan image processing, attribution measurement, and AI Chat data sharing are described separately above.

The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information as required by law, when they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect rights or safety, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.

You can stop all collection of information by uninstalling the Application. You can revoke AI chat data sharing in Settings without uninstalling the Application.

The Service Provider will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. To request deletion of User Provided Data supplied through the Application, contact aiscan@gmail.com.

The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children.

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information and provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information the Service Provider processes and maintains.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The Service Provider will notify users of changes by updating this page.

This privacy policy is effective as of 2026-06-30.

By using the Application, you consent to processing as set forth in this Privacy Policy. AI Chat data sharing requires separate in-app consent before AI Chat requests are made.
